Explanation:
Low copper levels are due to most commonly dilution or the copper has been fighting potential algae growth.
The ideal range for copper levels is 0.2-0.5ppm.
Causes:
- Phosphates.
- Dilution through heavy rainfall or splash out.
- System not correctly sized to the pool.
- TIMER 1 not running long enough
Solution:
- Take a water sample to your nearest pool shop and have the water tested specifically for phosphates. If present treat with phosphate remover as per the instructions.
- Adjust copper levels - all units installed Pre Oct 2019, go to Calculators within the Naked Pools App and follow the instructions ensuring to swipe on the reminder below so you are notified to turn the ION SET back when completed. It is important during this time you check and monitor the copper levels in the pool. Please ensure that the copper test kit instructions are followed carefully to ensure an accurate result.

Some pool environments may require slightly more copper than default. There is NO problem in increasing your ION setting to 30% or similar to maintain the correct levels. Again, just keep an eye on it and you will soon know the best settings for your pool. 90% of pools are set to the factory output of 20% for the Ioniser.
