Normal water balance applies to all Naked Pools and we strongly recommend testing your pool water on a regular basis. It will take you 5-10 mins and make it part of your routine, in order to protect your investment and ensure the water is clean and healthy to swim in.
Simply use the 4 in 1 test kit provided by your builder and the Naked Copper Test Kit provided with your unit or take your sample to your local pool shop.
Concrete Swimming Pools:
- pH – 7.4-7.6 - test weekly
- Alkalinity – 80-150ppm - test every 4-6 weeks
- Calcium Hardness – 200-250ppm - test every 3 months at your local pool shop
- Copper Level – 0.2-0.5ppm - test weekly to fortnightly
- Phosphates - test every 4-6 weeks at your local pool shop
Fibreglass/Vinyl Pools:
- pH – 7.2-7.4 - test weekly
- Alkalinity – 80-120ppm - test every 4-6 weeks
- Calcium Hardness – 150-190ppm - test every 3 months at your local pool shop
- Copper Level – 0.2-0.5ppm - test weekly to fortnightly
- Phosphates - test every 4-6 weeks at your local pool shop
We have found the Water Testing Instruction sheet attached, to be helpful in overcoming some of the uncertainty when testing your water. Quite a few Naked customers make sure they have a copy with them when taking their water into the pool shop for testing and make sure to take your Naked Water Bottle to your local pool shop to help with any uncertainties.
