This guide will quickly walk you through the details of the Naked Digital Photometer. After initial set-up, test procedures, and tips, you will be on your way to digital water testing!
The Naked Digital Meter comes with the following: Cleaning Brush, Quick Start Guide, Acrylic Calibration Key, 5 x Bottles of 25 Test Strips each: pH (PH), Total Alkalinity (AL), Calcium Hardness (CA), Phosphate (PO), and Copper (CU)
How To Test - It's as simple as Flip, Dip and Read.
- Power on the photometer - Press the ZERO/ON button to power on the photometer
- Fill cell - Before testing, rinse CELL and clean with brush thoroughly. Finally rinse the cell 3 times with the water sample to be tested, then FILL cell to capacity to begin test.
- Select test - Press and re-press the button until the display
shows the desired test type: AL (Alkalinity), PH (pH), PO (Phosphates), CA (Calcium Hardness), CU (Copper). - Cap cell and zero meter - Place the Cell Cover onto the CELL and press and the photometer display reads 0PPM, indicating the meter is ready for testing.
- Remove strip - Remove one Strip for the appropriate test and set in a dry, convenient place and replace the cap.
- Dip strip and press read - Press READ to initiate a 20 second countdown and simultaneously DIP the test strip in the sample, gently touching the bottom of the cell. Use a gentle constant back and forth motion (2 strokes per second) until the timer displays “1”. Be careful to not spill the sample from the CELL. Remove and discard the strip. Note: for copper (CU) and phosphate (PO) tests the display will automatically count up for 120 seconds.
- Cap cell and read results - Place the Cell Cover onto the CELL and READ the result displayed. This result is automatically stored in the specific tests menu. After testing is complete, rinse the sample cell immediately and clean with brush. For pools and spas above 35°C dip strip for ONLY 10 seconds. Remove strip when timer displays "10" and press READ.
All tests have been calibrated using certified reference standards and analytical spectrophotometric methods. The Naked Digital Photometer has been factory calibrated and will stay valid because of
