The Ioniser rods are a consumable item and will last approximately 3-4 years on an average size pool (40,000-50,000L).
Factors that can effect the lifespan of the ION rods are, but not limited to as follows:
- Volume of the pool - the larger the body of water obviously the more copper is required per day to sanitise the water and therefore the ION rods will wear out in a shorter period of time.
- Copper demand - Phosphates present in the water, constant algae, bather load etc.
- Frequent use of the ION BOOST function.
Example of a brand new set of ION rods, note how the rods completely fill the holes in the bottom of the black cage.

The Naked System will alert you and "CHECK IONISER RODS" will be displayed on the screen when they are due to be replaced. They are designed to be plug-n-play and takes 90 seconds to swap over.
